Businesses

My bank won't allow payments from my business account, what do I do?

Automatic debits to your business account may be blocked by the bank. This security feature is called an ACH Debit Block, ACH Positive Pay or ACH Fraud Prevention Filters.

ACH Debit Block works by having an allowed list of ACH company IDs. The list enables automatic debits for payments to those companies.

Contact your bank to add the US Government agency you need to pay to the list. Contact Pay.gov Customer Support for the information needed (the receiving federal agency's ALC+2 value).

I need the agency EIN, an IRS Form W-9 or other information, who do I contact?

Contact the agency paid if you need the EIN or other information for your accounts payable area. Pay.gov cannot provide this information.
